Classic aussie-chinese restaurant. Not a chinese person in sight, but the food was good and the szechuan beef even had a kick to it!
Stomach churning food. This had got to be The Worst Chinese restaurant in Australia. Stopped in to get some take away after a long days drive. Chinese are usually a reasonable bet. Wrong. Counter staff next to hopeless. Asked if the had a house specially, a careless wave over the menu and "whaddaya feel like its all here". No vegetable dishes. The spring rolls looked and tasted like they'd recovered them from the dregs in the dishwasher, they were so soggy they literally fell apart. At the very least they had been cooked in mutton fat, then microwaved because they couldn't be arsed actually filling an order with freshly made food. The Mongolian or Szechwan beef dish was again cooked in mutton fat dripping, totally greasy and fatty, with a bit of powdered child turned through it. All carelessly reheated because no one in this restaurant actually gives a damn. When I need to throw up shortly, I shall do so in the doorway of the now-closed restaurant. Do yourselves a favour and AVOID. Try the pub across the road which apparently does good counter meals. Note: the only reason this gets one star is because you can't give a zero star rating. My rating of this establishment: zero
I guess it's ok if you are looking for food on your roadtrip. Very bland and tasteless dishes. $12 lunch specials are offered, I had the veggie one and it was completely tasteless. Not too much else in this stretch of town, so they seem to make good business especially with the senior crowd. Service is friendly but there's just one person serving and taking orders at lunch, and you can barely get her attention if you need something.
